Love it. A great surprise of a very nice place. Tent or RV camping. Other campgrounds were filled. Reasonable/good price. Thanks. DH
We had a great stay! We were gonna stay at a tent site, the tent sites are great, lots of trees and space, but due to a wind storm stayed in a cabin. Clean cabin, clean bath house, fire ring, and super nice owners. Convenient between Spearfish and Belle Fourche. Bravo.
We were late in the evening finding this place. The owners (thank you both!) were more than accommodating and were able to put my Wife, 2 boys, and I in a cabin instead of a tent spot because it was soooo windy! Would recommend this stop to anyone wanting a quiet spot beside the river! Great people, great location, and for us... A Great Stay!
My family and I have stayed at Wyatt’s Hideaway multiple times for the Sturgis rally over the last 10 years. It has always been our go-to campground. Unfortunately, given our experience today (Aug 1, 2024) with the new owners, we will no longer be staying here. The temperature today reached 101 degrees and while we were out to dinner the owner came and unplugged our 30 amp trailer, which was powering our A/C without any discussion. We returned to a trailer that was unbearably hot with no ability to escape the heat. They did this because of a discrepancy which turned out to be no fault of ours. We paid for the same spot we always use and the same electric connections we have always used. The discrepancy was on their end. They charged us an additional $300 and we were able to reconnect to the 30 amp power. I asked them why they didn’t just come talk to us or leave a note on the camper door to come to the office to discuss, or call our cell phone number on file… They apologized and said they didn’t really think it through….and the older man was about as confrontational as anyone I’ve ever dealt with in the customer service industry. Practically treating us as if we are thieves. He saw us connected to the power multiple times while making his rounds, yet waited till we left for dinner and just unplugged our trailer and duct taped the receptacle closed. There are far too many beautiful campgrounds in the area to be treated like this by rookie owners that don’t know their own industry or how to be decent people. Do yourself a favor and find somewhere else to stay. Follow up: After reading my review the owners came to our campsite at 10:00 pm and tried to bully us into packing up our things and leaving. Further displaying their true colors and level of disrespect for their customers. While at our campsite that night, I asked them to point out a single dishonest thing in my review and if they could I would remove the entire post. They could not point out a single thing and they were forced to kick rocks. Now they want to make claims that I am lying, 2 weeks later. 🙄 Find somewhere else to stay. These people clearly think their customers are beneath them and refuse to just own up to their actions. ✌️ Dr. Russell Smith
Stayed over Memorial Day weekend 2024. We were so impressed with the whole place. Lots of sites, very nice updated playground for the kids. The restroom/shower house was very clean and well stocked. The washer/dryer facilities were also well kept. The young lady was busy our entire stay weed eating and preparing cabins for new arrivals. Very close to town for last-minute needs. This is a family owned small business, and we are huge supporters of small businesses.
