Very well maintained park. Owners are very friendly and will do their best to help in any situation. If you’re looking for something quiet and relaxing, stay here!
Real nice owner, this Campsite has been here for a year. You can barely hear the (hwy 49) traffic. I wish it had picnic tables, fire pit, hiking. Something to do other than sit inside our house on wheels. $40 nightly.
The Short Version: Small. Feels remote and private. Quiet. Clean. Peaceful. Value: worth it. Less was DEFINITELY more, in this case. Summary: Blew off a friend in Arkansas to stay longer. Wish I could have stayed longer than I did. It is an amazing hideaway for adults who desire peace and solitude; kids will probably get bored so it might be best to leave them at home. Amenities: - 8 easily accessible back-in slips. No trees or obstacles. - Easily accessible W/P/S. - In a clearing of virgin timber and gets good breezes. Pro: - see review, below. Con: - no laundry room. - no showers (for those that would need it) - no trash collection point (that I saw.) The Review: Being almost directly off the highway next to a very small and rustic town, I didn't expect much in amenities or quality. I was both right and wrong, but not in the ways I originally thought. 1. Surrounded by woods, there is *very* little highway noise. It isn't a massive clear-cut parking lot of a park - you're in the woods versus the woods merely being "accessible". 2. With only eight slips, it feels exclusive. 3. The water was clean and had plenty of pressure. Ground-level spigots were easily accessible and turned freely. 4. The power was clean - no spikes or dips on a 50A hookup. 5. 50a/30a/20a/ and 120 outlets available at each hookup. Looked newly installed and no bugs/spiders/webs/debris hiding behind the outlet door. 5. Dog friendly: If my dog can't enjoy or isn't welcome, neither can I. 6. The grounds/grass were well maintained but it doesn't feel industrialized - it keeps a very natural feel and appearance. 7. Check-in/out was a breeze. Management was friendly, attentive, and personable in very genuine ways; gotta love southern hospitality. I like quiet spots with few people and no kids. There's a good thing happening at HRRVP and I hope my path takes me back through here again.
Quiet place. We arrived late and they were very helpful, affordable price. Very clean. We definitely stay here again.
