We stayed at the Mango Cabin — a beautifully designed solid wood cabin that includes a bedroom, a kitchen, and very spacious bathroom and toilet facilities. There’s access to a garden with a barbecue area, and behind it, an option for an outdoor bath in a kind of jacuzzi. Up to this point, the place itself is nicely described. However, the owner of the property doesn’t show much empathy toward her guests. She is very minimalistic and gives the impression that you’re bothering her. The first time we arrived, there was an issue with entry and timing: after 2:00 p.m., the car is automatically recognized and the gate opens, but before that, you need to note that on the right side of the gate there’s a mailbox with a button. Pressing it sends a call to the owner, who then opens the gate manually. The owner leaves around 4:00–5:00 p.m., which means that after that hour there’s no one to contact — only an emergency phone number. If you stay at the cabin, note that garbage is not collected, and there’s no clear information about where to dispose of it. You end up gathering bags of rubbish, but you can’t leave them outside because of the kangaroos in the area. The kitchen light didn’t work, and on the first evening we were practically in the dark until I figured out that the remote control was out of charge and needed to be recharged. Although the kitchen is supposed to be fully equipped, in practice there’s no stovetop. If you want to cook, there’s only a small electric pot — so calling it a “well-equipped kitchen” is a bit of an exaggeration. It should also be mentioned that we stayed over the weekend, when a very loud party with booming music took place nearby — quite the opposite of the peace and quiet promised in the property description. In conclusion: a place that is unique in its topography, but with the above-noted issues.
A very welcoming feel throughout the entire park. Facilities are spotless and the whole place is beautifully maintained. Will definitely be back
Kangaroos can be seen just around the corner. The showers and toilets are nicely designed and very creative. There are frogs on site, so be careful not to step on them at night. The kitchen is large and well-equipped. The campsites are a bit uneven but have electricity. Water is available at the water-tree near the gate. Be aware of sandflies and mosquitoes on site and bring insect repellent with you!!
Camped here this week, despite being peak season enough space to spread out, not feel jammed in like a Big4. The amenities were hands down some of the best I’ve ever encountered. The service from staff and up keep of grounds was amazing. Well done team, already planning the next trip!
We had a great stay here. The facilities are well maintained and we loved the eclectic design. We were on a powered site which facilitates 4 sites around a central pole with plenty of room to spread out, as the owners offer cable and hoses to spread out... and there is plenty of space to spread. Unfortunately not everyone took advantage of this which was disapponting but not the sites responsibility. Fire pits supplied and we utilised the doggy day care to visit K'Gari. Great location and very enjoyable stay!
