We booked a spot at the Camden Hills Sea Swell last minute when our travel plans had changed and they were very accomodating. The staff was very nice and having a washer and dryer was perfect at the end of our stay in Maine. The showers were great with lots of room. We would stay here again.
A sweet little campground with a great location. Marissa is delightful. The showers were clean and nicely appointed. Just our vibe, nothing fancy but great North Woods Maine vibe. We arrived on October 1st so it was quiet and dark so one could enjoy the stars. Pine woods bordered the property and the scent was heavenly! We travel in a Class C with a car trailer in tow, site was level & pull through.
This campground hardly qualifies as a resort. You had to pay extra for internet which was terrible and always disconnecting. They didn't offer any cable. The sites are uneven, the laundry machines are super small and expensive, the camp store has nothing in it. There were only 2 bathroom stalls and 2 showers which were hardly big enough for an average sized person. There were no planned activities as stated on their site. The fence around pool was falling down, the playground was falling apart and was nothing more than a slide. Not at all worth the money.
My husband and I stayed for the entire 2020 season in a class A motor home. If you are looking for a campground that is peace full and quiet this is the place. The owners are hands on great people. There is a pool that is meticulously maintained and great for families with children. The camp workers, Steve, Heather, Jay and Noreen were friendly, upbeat, and hard workers. The area has much to offer and this part of Maine is awesome. We will definitely be back for the 2021 season.
We stayed at the campground two nights. The campground was really in a nice location and very quiet. Then, we did stay Oct 12 and 13, so the season was winding down. Staff were nice. If your unit is self contained, you will like the area. If you need to use their bathrooms...don't... mushrooms were growing in the bathroom. Unable to even step into a shower, and one toilet was 'fussy' all summer per one resident, so don't use it, I was told. So, it was not a very comfortable stay. Other reviews I have read all show the same - the signs that the facility is not being kept up.
