Not really sure that it's considered open. Maintenance working on a water problem when I picked the best rv lot easily because I was the only guest. When the parks rv/tent lots occupied, the spaceing won't feel like being crowded. The county employee said I can stay and close the unlocked gate when I leave. The park is well kept, tidy, roomy and setup good for a group or family outdoor gathering. Interesting history with mineral enriched springs in the park. I'd stay again even if secured the last lot, Campers are the best neighbors to share camping stories with.
I'm not sure how this could be considered a State Park? It's more like a roadside city park with picnic shelters and swing sets.
Didn't see any hiking trails. Very disappointed
We were only ones in the park. Check required of $15.00 and you put it in dropbox. Full hookup. Operated by county commissioners. Lots of birds including owl. We enjoyed our stay. Bathrooms were clean.
