Rundown and poorly kept. No hydro, terrible maintenance, and directly beside a train track. We definitely did not feel at ease.
For sure a budget campground. But you are there for the location. The bathrooms and showers were not ideal to say the least. But it’s a safe place with bike rental at the same spot.
Bathrooms were horrible! Dirty, no soap, dingy, we stayed 3 nights and I was not willing to shower in there! I’m not a princess when it comes to camping and we sleep in our van but I could not use that bathroom! Sites were run down and not cared for we were shoved in a corner beside tall weeds and building debris. Huge over grown trees blocked all views of mountains. We pulled in late to sleep and pulled out first thing every morning. Some of the permanent campers were very messy looking! It was fine for a quick sleep but not worth $50 a night! My review would have different if it was an affordable option!
This was my first RV experience and overall it was a good one, room was clean and spacious. BUT I want you to know that the campground was too small, RVs are so close to each other, parking is inconvenience. Campsites are very close to the railway, whenever the trains passes there will be a lot of noise. No hot water, only a kettle. There is Wi-Fi but it does not work.
The only good thing about this place is that it's close to Banff National Park. The guy working the office was nice too but other than that this place was horrible.. mainly because there are a few sets of train tracks right behind the property.. the first night wasn't too bad, maybe 3 trains passed... The second night over 14 trains passed between 9pm and when i finally fell asleep. My entire camper would shake from the passing trains.. Even though i paid for another night it wasn't worth it, i left and found another place. --- **i am 95% sure that the good reviews are left by management or friends of management... This place is horrible and there is no getting used to the loud ass trains that pass by.**
