It cool, refreshing and there’s a small area for kids on the beach with a playground. On the other side of the lake there’s a dam that has deep water and an area where you can get under the dam with a small creek. Adult supervision is recommended for smaller children when at the dam. Remember to shower after swimming.
We live close by and we love this campground. They do awesome things in the fall, and it’s just a nice playground to take the kids with a shallow swim spot.
I love this campground, it’s a huge part of my family history. Very family friendly, nice lake, swim beach, big sites, clean and affordable.
Staff isn't very professional! They need to take into consideration that there are children watching them and taking after their habits. My son and his kin stay there as well as I was. I paid a considerable amount for my tent sight and they kicked me out for standing up for good morals. We need to be mindful that in order to protect and preserve it starts with U.S.!!! Next time I visit I expect better!
I've said this before lol I'm not a campground person but we had to be here to camp with some family. The campground itself is very clean, lots are decent size. The lake is nice for swimming, nice playground for the kiddos, basketball court and volleyball, and laundry room. The bathrooms aren't too bad, showers are decent too however it's always so incredibly hot and humid in there that you feel like you're gonna pass out within 2 minutes lol AC added would be a bonus ;) price to camp is decent, $125 for a full hookup rv spot for a week. Lake is for the campground as well as the town and is free so it's usually quite busy. Ice, soda and wood sold at the office.
