It's a great place to visit! And there is so much to do, if you're into nature and wildlife. Camping, tours, fishing, hiking, photographing, painting, or just on an outing. There is also a restaurant (that is open to not only the cameras, but to the public,) cabins, campsites, historic cabins, sights, and areas.
I had no idea that this place existed. I am glad that we stopped by to check out the area. The owner was very friendly. It looks like a good place to put in for the Gunnison River.
Just a wonderful place to visit. I'm from Erie, PA (lowlander) The altitude didn't bother me one bit. Great for beginners on the River. Very slow-moving. Some rapids but nothing you couldn't handle no matter your experience.
Great fishing, great guides and management to see that you have a great experience in the Canyon and lower river. Only permitted jet boat to get you up to your dorys in the canyon. A world class experience. We had a great guided experience with Kelly. I have fished the world over and he ranks as a top guide anywhere!
My son, Jon, and I had a great time on this trip. Our guide, Tyler, was extremely good. Water was quite high which effected the fishing but we learned a lot about the sport of fly fishing. I would highly recommend Gunnison River Expeditions.
