Big4 Governors Hill Carapark

I stayed at the Governor's Hill Carapark for 3 nights in March 2026, in an ensuite van site. At $50/ night I thought it was good value. Online booking was simple. The sites are a wee bit squeezy, but was clean & tidy. For a 50 year old park, I was more than happy with the cleanliness and upkeep. I personally like the charm of older parks if they are clean, and Governor's Hill ticks all the short stay boxes for me. It's also very well located to a nearby roadhouse & McDonald's, and most importantly to the back road up to the Rocky Hill War Memorial. I enjoyed my stay & would absolutely stay here again.

We had a caravan site and even though a little squeezy it was fine. The staff are helpful and friendly and not a problem at all. Our only beef was the uncleaned toilets and showers, we arrived on a Thursday and departed a week later and the toilets were never touched. It is a little old but that to me is not a problem its cleanliness that people rate and expect. Really not good enough..just an effort to do a good clean and keep it up would make this park so much better. You cant really blame visitors because if not for them it would be so much worse.

Good friendly service and helpful. Reasonable rates. We booked late and needed a last min stop through place to park the 4wd and pop the rooftop tent. The ensuite site was great and services clean. Easy to get to off the Hume and back on our adventures in the morning.

We broke down and ended up here, need a whole new motor so we were worried about how far we would get and where we would stay. the owners are absolutely amazing lovely people and the amenities are 💯 spot on. It is a clean and relaxing place to visit and stay . Pet friendly place as well. There are camping powered sites available and hot showers. It is affordable and easy to get to also not far from town. We highly recommend this caravan park
