Nice relaxing atmosphere with plenty of activities if you choose to do so
We decided to vacation in the "toe of the boot" this year and found Pride's Creek campground highly rated. We got in on Sunday afternoon to stay through Thursday morning, paid in advance. The cost is nearly twice per night what we have paid elsewhere in any state that we have traveled. The restrooms were filthy, looking like they hadn't been cleaned in weeks. Nearby radios blared loud music till late night. There was a nasty smell in the air. We will not be back.
The park is a wonderful place to camp when the contractors aren't hoarding the circle. Disk golf, golf, pickleball, and the beach. Lots of activities, food trucks, concerts on weekends and Halloween is great fun!
Nice place to stay-only place for RV overnight parking for several miles in any direction. There are a lot of permanent residence. But they still have a lot of space available. At this date, $50 a night for full hookup. Gravel pads both 30 and 50 amp service.
We stopped at this park to stretch our legs and play on the playground. This is a neat little big park. With a beach area and bathrooms. Cost $5 day use fee. There are MANY long term/permanent RV residents. There are a maybe a dozen primitive tent camping sites on the east side of the lake which look nice away from the RV crowds.
