Beware! This KOA location is not up to the usual and amazing KOA standards. I'm surpised this location is able to carry the KOA brand. We chose to stay here because it was a KOA and assumed we'd have a safe and nice stay. Sadly, our truck was broken into and one of our ebikes was stolen. This KOA is located is in a sketchy neighbourhood, we felt uneasy as soon as we arrived. Our site was right beside the street, we were instructed by the KOA employee who checked us into our site to park our truck on the street right in front our site. Our camp site #35 is right on the street (?!). This location is just a large parking lot in a bad neighborhood, nothing KOA feeling about it, scarce amenities, no secure measures put into place to protect campers or ensure a safe stay. No fence or anything to separate and protect our site from the street. At night we heard loud car engines screeching on the street well after midnight. Very loud traffic noise all night. The staff are lovely and called police right away for us to report our stolen bike and truck being broken into. Police showed up right away. If you stay here, be VERY vigilant but best to skip this location altogether. We basically paid to park on a street, very disappointing. If KOA cared about our experience, they'd offer us some type of refund. Or maybe they're used to this happening frequently at this location and just don't care because they got our money? Sites #35 and #36 should not be campsites, they need to put in fencing or a security gate in those areas to protect paying customers.

Paid extra money for a pull through site. Show up and its a tight back in site. I call the after hours service and they say because I have a 19 ft camper they gave me this site. Not sure how that makes sense. As the customer I paid for the ease of a pull through site and paid extra money. This should be irregardless of the length of trailer. The option given to me was to cancel and get a refund. At 830 PM. Ridiculous. Avoid this place, I saw the bad reviews and thought whatever, just one night. Honestly, just go somewhere else. This is nothing like all the other KOAs we’ve visited and come to love. Follow up: the problem is that they brush it off as a simple overbooking like I just tried to walk in for a spot. I had reserved this specific type of spot last week. To be fair, they refunded the difference but the fact that they might give away your spot to someone else based on rig size is still completely unacceptable.

The park is clean and easily located to places in and around the city. The spaces are very small, but they are fine. The staff is friendly and called us ahead of time to let us know how to get to our space easier which was nice. There is very basic necessities for this park, with no extras (no playground, dog park, entertainment, etc). Its great for an overnight or for a spot to stay for an event. Not ideal for any type of "getaway" that involves on-site activities.

The staff at this KOA are exceptionally nice, and it offers dry storage, which we needed in order to leave the RV for a three day cruise. It is very convenient to the Fort Lauderdale port and the Hard Rock Casino. The campground itself is very quiet, although you do hear some road noise because of its convenient downtown location. Most of the sites have fire pits, and it was a great night for sitting out by the fire. The bathrooms were very clean and conveniently located with laundry services in the same building.

We’re having a great stay at Hollywood KOA. This is a solid, well-run RV park — not a luxury resort, but clean, comfortable, and exactly what it promises to be. The park is quiet, safe, and convenient, and the surrounding neighborhood feels perfectly fine. One thing we really appreciate is the on-site laundry, which is super convenient, especially during a longer stay. We’re here for two weeks over Christmas, and having laundry right on property makes a big difference. The staff is friendly and helpful, and everything feels well maintained. We’ve been RVing for 20 years and have stayed all over the country, and this is a good park that does the basics right. If you’re looking for a clean, straightforward, dependable KOA in the Hollywood area, this one fits the bill. 🚐👍
