Great stop for travellers. Nice pull thru sites. Good amenities and fabulous showers.

Location is good. Condition and cleanliness also good. Reason for lower rating is the confusing reservation system. If you pull in, pay and set up your rig, someone else can go online and book the same site. We were presented with this situation. So, you conceivably could be “bumped” from your site. Even though you paid, were in the site for several hours, and a later arriving camper can have rights to site. Leaving you with nowhere to stay. We had been in our site, #1 looked around and noticed orange notices in the end of the site posts noting the sites are reserved. However, there are several sites that haven’t any orange reserved signs on them. Leading a camper to believe the site/s are available. So, who to believe. The nice folks that came after us, who claimed they’d booked the site we were in were a little upset. But we’d both paid for the same site. Small print in the sign at front states if you are a drive in, you may have to move. But again, if you’re in the site till 8:30 at night from 5 pm then where do you go when everything else is full? The time between could’ve been spent looking for another site had one known but now it’s dark, we have a 34 foot rig and it isn’t a night friendly vehicle to park. I don’t understand how they can run a service in this manner. There can be real consequences and cause problems for people. But it is a nice spot. Just causes uncertainty and problems with their booking system. Why not have everyone use the online system. Many older people may not be able to use the internet or may be more confused and they may be forced off their site at a late time and have nowhere to go. Or perhaps have a staff person between certain hours after the townships office is closed. Maybe there is not a budget type this, who knows, but some people may find themselves with a campsite for the night and then suddenly you do not have site! Beware!

Campground has been upgraded since our last visit. Full hook ups available. Gravel pads. Big and accessible and clean washrooms. A lovely restful stay close to the community pool and splash park.

This is a great little campground. The washroom/ shower facilities are top notch . Has a supervised pool , a splash pad and a nice playground for kids. 2 Ball diamond's . My only 2 knocks on it are totally out of the control of those running it , but it seemed to have a lot of flies and wasps plus the train is very close so you get whistles at night.

Super cute campground with all services. Nicest city campground we’ve seen in a long time. Right next door to the public pool, golf course, and ball diamonds. Only wish there was a game on! Thank you Whitewood for the beautiful campground. On our way from the west coast to Ontario and this has been the highlight so far. It was so darn cute we had to stay here on the way back too! Very well maintained and quiet. **Addendum** Just had someone say they had booked our site online. There was no Reserved sign on the space when we arrived. He was very understanding, but there seems to be a disconnect with the online booking and the actual sites. There were Reserved signs on two other sites but ours was available when we arrived.
