This was by far the best campground I have ever stayed at, the view of the river is beautiful, the owner and staff are very friendly and laid back. The bathrooms and showers are clean and have warm water, and the price is very reasonable; that in mind please be courteous and turn off the lights in the bathrooms when you are done, they work really hard to keep prices reasonable and the campground nice so its only fair to keep their electric bill down. There are a ton of local waterfalls near by and even a private one on the property owned by patricks point. They call in the bard owls near sunset which is a really nice experience. I couldn’t recommend a campground more.
I loved the place, Patrick and Angelica are very nice people, I felt pretty comfortable since the beginning. They helped me to change the cabin right there paying the difference, the mattresses are surprisingly comfortable, WIFI worked perfectly fine in my cabin. I was a little worried of getting the no-door cabin because of bugs and safety, but I din't have any problem at all, I slept perfectly fine, you should use repellent though. The bathrooms are very clean and they have hot water (in case it's cold) The place is really close from Cumberland Falls, I realized late that Patrick offers Kayaking, Canoeing and other stuff, so I booked on another place beforehand and it was more expensive, I had to drive far and the Kayaking was on the same points than Patrick offer, so feel free to do it with Patrick, is cheaper, you leave your car at the campground and you save a bunch of time. I'd definitely come back to this place without thinking it again.
one of the best camps i ever stay. i highly recommend. I was driving motorcycle thru Kentucky and this was my base camp. Very nice clean place next to river. The owner is amazing and very friendly. Nice clean showers and toilets. Always hot water. great area to clean your dishes and cook if you need under big shelter. They sell wood also. not a ripper of like other places. one bundle for $5 that burn for one night very great quality of wood.
What a wonderful place to camp with wonderful host!!! Patrick and his wonderful wife are very accommodating to your needs they go above n beyond!! They have a wonderful beautiful establishment with lots of wonderful stories to go along, plenty of things to do and look at !! The kayak trip was great! They even have kayaks to rent if needed, small fee to get a ride to drop off point! I literally have nothing to complain about with this campground because there is nothing to complain about!!♡ we love this place and Patrick & Angelica we will Def be back and tell everyone to go there!!!! Much love!!!♡♡
We absolutely LOVE Patrick's Point! It's still one of life's secret gems.. the last of primitive camping without having to set up a tent everytime.. although you can also tent camp. Each site is private and you don't see anyone when you're at your site. They're all secluded but still close enough to the Kentucky Barn which is where the couple who own this beautiful land live. The couple who owns this place are awesome down to earth southern people. They are super accommodating, the have THE BEST PRICES for Canoe and Kayak rentals. BY FAR! They even have a shuttle service. There's a gem mine where they have so many beautiful mined gems from all over the world!! Patrick's Point is by far our favorite campground!! We drive 2 1/2 hrs to camp there vs anywhere else.
