Lovely cheerful staff and a great museum
Excellent visitor information centre. Gavin assisted me again today after having done the same in Beachport a week ago. Just like Beachport, they also offer a dumpoint and fresh drinking water at the rear of the centre where there are also public toilets available. Be aware that this is one way only. Onside the centre is heaps of information to make your stay worthwhile. There is also some artwork at the back (free to view) and a museum next door which has some amazing reviews (there is a cost for this). Outside is a memorial to road crash victims, a small play area for children and an undercover BBQ area. There us even a massive wind turbine blade. Millicent is a bit if a mixed bag with old and new sections. Plenty of cafes, parks, picnic areas, public toilets and the largest playground I have come across 😀. Love all the street art 🎨 💕
The Gentleman was fantastic! His suggestions added so much more to our road trip. Millicent was a lovely surprise. The street art is so good and the cafe and garden centre were adorable
Popped in for a look and what a wonderful place. So well presented and so interesting. Everything you can think of, from trains, machinery, horse drawn carriages, ship wrecks, costumes, homewares, on and on. Unbelievable the work and dedication gone into it. Lots of info available on other interests around the state.
Just visited this visitor information centre and museum and was extremely impressed with the service we received. From the moment I walked in, the staff were incredibly welcoming and eager to help with any questions. She took the time to explain the different exhibits and gave me some great recommendations for things to see and do in the area. The museum itself was also very impressive. The exhibits were well-curated and gave a great overview of the history and culture of the area. Fantastic experience at the visitor information centre and museum. The staff were outstanding and the museum was well worth a visit. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.
