Do NOT invest here or rent here. Very unsafe! I rented for a year with intent to buy. In the 2.5 months I actually stayed there before I escaped, I observed severe unmanaged algae growth in the water which stank, had a skunk under my shed, witnessed a boy fall off a bridge, my micro-house was struck with a BOBCAT (roadworks machines) resulting in a severe concussion and I was harassed both online and in person by residents for recording & reporting the accident. I had to bring myself to hospital. I had to file my own police report. I had to contact the ministry of labour myself, all while I was concussed with no support. The landlady told me not to talk to anyone and cared more about the damage to property and not causing problems with the property owner. I lost thousands for having to move so suddenly because I no longer felt safe. I was never offered financial compensation to assist me in moving or finding alternative accommodation (although that would have been a decent human thing to do) I was after human compassion but all I got was a lot of run around and empty promises. The accident was actually a blessing, as if I had invested there I would have been screwed. Properties don’t sell. Junk & dilapidated mobile homes are scattered everywhere devaluing & preventing resale opportunities. Many locals had much to say about feeling intimidated and all the problems with living there including concerns about fire safety and building codes not being adhered to. This place is dangerous. PERIOD Addendum: In response to the reply ... If by "episodes" you mean discernible signs of a brain injury after a life threatening accident then yes.
This community is a real dive. The owners are placing 35 year old trailers on properties a few feet from others very cramped. They are also boxing the trailers in so people don't see how old the trailers are and being able to check for mold water leaks that sort of stuff. Also the on-site water pressure literally the water just dribbles out you cannot flush a full toilet. There is also containers placed around the property making it look pretty shabby. Also people are not taking pride of their properties there are trailers there that are storing maybe 50 plus tires on their grass this is not only an eyesore it's also a fire hazard. A lot of these properties are a real mess. Access to stores you must have a car things are not close by
I have been a summer tenant for 3 years now and enjoy the peace and quiet. But I am now living in Woodstock and my two campers are for sale or rent. Please contact me for more information about my camper trailers.
My name is actually Cathy, but Google thinks I'm Amy, lol. I have been at Twin Springs for five years now, and it's the best move I ever made. The owners and the campers/residents are for the most part, great folks. The park has come a long way since the new owners Jonathan and Cathie Weaver took over. Among our other amenities, we have a community garden and a dog park which will be in place in the next couple of months. We have a nice big beach and great fishing. Thanks to many residents/campers who are great at organizing, there are some really fun events which take place here every year. For example, dances, movie nights, kids fishing derby, street dance, fireworks, kid's craft events, and much more. We have a large year round section which is very affordable full time living. Skip The Dishes even delivers here! The lot fees are reasonable, unlike many other parks in Ontario. Twin Springs is a successful, up and coming community with a lot of happy campers.
Had an incredible stay with my family! Beautiful scenery, swimming area & parks for children. On site laundry mat was extremely convient and the machines worked perfectly. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. We had a blast and will definitely be coming back!
