The park was closed on Friday February 6th when all information indicated it was open. The gate was closed and padlocked, the gate keeper was not present and nobody answered the phone. There was no way of getting a day pass or anything. After making plans and driving there, I won't make that mistake again.
We arrived after hrs and unfortunately it was already dark. Couple hours after we got there we started seeing a couple ants inside the camper. Then a couple turned in to an overwhelming attack. We got out of the camper and sat outside for a min to decide what we are going to do and instantly both my feet were covered in ants. We stayed inside my truck till dawn so we can evaluate what's going on. The ants were coming from the water line, the power cord and coming up all 4 stabilizer jacks. We packed up and left at first light. Now I see they charged me 40 bucks for canceling last min. Ridiculous! I will never go back here
The lake is so pretty the levels are high. We didn’t catch any fish, it that’s why it’s fishing right LOL. All in all will def go back
We moved from Louisiana, found this wonderful place, Much-needed our and our spent numerous visits here already
Was not impressed. I checked 3 bathrooms before I found one that was not closed. The open bathroom I finally found had no lights... not on the exterior, not inside. Ended up changing out of my bathing suit via flashlight. The shelter I stayed in lacked an exterior door, of any kind. However I had nice view of the lack through the open doorway.
