For the last six summers my family has been renting the corner two bedroom cabin at sunset bay resort. It’s become a tradition we look forward to every summer. The original owners are such great people. The wife especially, would always come check in on us, offer us some extra towels, ask how our stay is. And always ensure us the water is safe to drink because she’s been drinking it herself for over 30 years. She always kept the area kept nicely with beautiful flowers. The cabin itself had flowers and felt like a home away from home. We were happy last summer when we noticed the sofa bed had been upgraded, the best was so comfortable! Especially for our family of 7, and we always stay for 3 days so comfort is always appreciated. However, this summer when we went to Sunset Bay we noticed that the sofa bed was taken away and replaced with an old dingy, smelly couch. (Yes, smelly). No flowers or plants, no one came by to see if we needed anything, no one offered a hand with towels or garbage bags. Except our friendly neighbour the maintenance guy with the catio. He was very friendly, cool and accommodating. Aside from that, it seems to be the price has gone up at Sunset Bay Resort, but the service and quality of your stay is only going down. I am very sad to say we won’t be returning. It was a great run Sunset! Best of luck!

We went there just after new owners took over The owners were very accomidating, the restaurant staff were wonderful, the rooms were clean, the bed was very comfortable, and Rusty was very welcoming.

We stayed in one of the motel rooms at the resort and were more than impressed! The staff were very friendly, the owners work hard and have very high expectations, but most important for me is how spotless our room was! This motel is cleaner and more comfortable than many big city hotels. Everything was in excellent condition and maintained very well. Also, it is very kid friendly.
