I lived in Havasu pines for a year and it was absolutely wonderful. It was my first time renting and with a couple roommate's. We got a 2br 1bath with the best rent I could find compared to anywhere else. Tina and Darryl were very nice people who were accommodating and kind. The place we got was an older unit but was refurbished before we moved in and we had no issues. The neighbors were kind and quiet. I appreciated them taking the risk with us as we had no renters experience and are in our early 20's with multiple pets. That alone is what any other rental we applied to rejected us for. If there was ever a repair needed it was fulfilled promptly. I will miss the park and will be going back if I ever end up needing to. Snow plow and lawn care services were also offered for reasonable prices.
Typical trailer park shenanigans. All will be well until you sign the lease. If you dont have kids, it may be OK for you. The manager, Tina Goolsby, lives on the property with her family, including her 12 year old son. He started forest fires requiring intervention from the fire department, right behind my house. She tried to blame it on my son, not understanding my son cant even tie his shoes yet let alone light a lighter. Her son admitted to it eventually. He threw rocks at other children's heads when they didn't want to play with him. She even makes it hard for other kids to play in the neighborhood if they don't want to play with her son. One other boy actually sits in the woods behind my house by himself when he is being forced to play with the landlords/Tina's son, just so he can avoid him. My younger son, who is autistic, can not deal with strangers or changes around his home, but Tina Goolsby insisted on 9 showings in one week's time. 3 showings on the same day. We only needed 12 days of our 30 day notice to begin with as i took my time giving my move out notice, since i knew she would make it as difficult as possible . I told her I would have to resign from my job early so that I could be home with my children while strangers walked through, she didn't care. I understand landlords have the right to show the home in Maine with notice. I just also know it's incredibly unsafe to show a home to so many people, especially when it's a single parent household and there is a special needs child involved. The maintenance crew is great, they arrive quickly for any issues. My issues were a leaking roof on my son's bed on our first night. A leaking dishwasher our first week. And a leaking hot water heater our last week. In a years time. Not bad for an older home. There is an owner on property who watches things, seems nice. I don't think he is aware of some of the things his manager is up too. Tina refused to give me his contact info when I asked and I don't want to just knock on his door, he hired a manager for a reason. Proceed with caution at this location. And I would completely avoid if you have children.
Nice park with nice tenants.
