We stayed at Site #14 right by the lake and absolutely loved it! Waking up to the water view was so relaxing, and it was perfect for just hanging out by the shore. The site has a nice firepit and a bit of shade from the trees, and we’d definitely come back here again for the lakefront view! 💖⛺️🔥
This park is beautiful. The camping spots are pretty small. So be aware if you have a bigger RV. There are no hookups for power water or sewer. It is a bit of a walk from the boat launch to the parking lot. This makes it hard if you are disabled. There is a lovely picnic area. There's a cook shack there with a huge charcoal type barbecue. There are a lot of weeds around the lake. You can rent a kayak or a SUP on site. You will have to travel a short distance on gravel roads to come to the park. There is a tiny beach at the day use area that is not supervised. The playground is by the day use area as well. I don't know if I would camp here unless I could be sure of a big enough campspot. I would come for the day use.
The lake is long and narrow. The boat launch, and dock areas are nice areas. There is a little kayak and paddleboard kiosk stand that you can rent little boats using a qr code with internet. Cell service is a little hard to get but it will work in specific areas. There is not much of a beach or day use area, but you can make it work! This lake is best for fishing I think.
So fun. People are very friendly, very clean beach. If you have a stroller, the main "entrance " to the beach has steps so you will want you will want to go off to the sides (left one is the better one) not much shade when it starts getting more hot. So you will want to bring umbrella, or come earlier in the day to "claim" a good spot (these pictures were from April 24th of this year but I have lived in the area for 39 years)
Provided a great family experience. Running water in the washrooms and decent sized sites. Washrooms could be maintained slightly better as we arrived on a Wednesday and there was no soap ever put in the washroom until we left on Sunday. The year prior the washroom stall door lock was broken. $1.00 for warm shower and $29/night and $10/bag of wood.
