Loved the campground, very private sites, all of the facilities were well maintained. There are 2 beaches sonits nice to have a choice of which one you want to use. Nice that there were showers and they were only $1 for a decent amount of time. The Sani dump to empty the RV before leaving was nice to have as well. We will definitely will be returning.
We stayed here for 3 nights. We were in site 47 - close to the north beach. The site was very well treed - we had lots of privacy. The bathrooms/outhouses were sanitized daily and had hand sanitizer. The only problem was the doors each had a 1 cm gap when latched from the inside. The women and kids didn't like that! The attendants were present, and they were nice. The small concession had a nice selection of items. The lake was refreshing, but the aggressive shrimp were generally undesirable. I think they are an invasive species. The only problem we had was some person running their generator all day and all night. I complained and after a shouting match that night between the attendant and that site, they finally shut it off.
A beautifully peaceful campground. Our lot was near the playground so we could relax while still keeping an eye on your young campers. It has 2 beaches. One is technically the board launch and docks as well as a beach volleyball set up. The other is great for swimming and playing in the sand. We brought our kayaks and stand up paddle board and enjoyed paddling between both beaches.
We love this campground. Nice lots and good staff. The lake is pretty clean and the beach is nice. There are tiny freshwater shrimp that often will stick to you (and super easy to remove and drop back in the water) so if that bothers you, it might not be your ideal place to swim.
Very nice campground. Loved the farmers market idea. Showers are nice but the shower curtains are too small and in the way plus it needs another hook in each shower. Lake water is gross, murky and has lots of shrimp in it. Ok for boating but not so much for swimming IMO. Overall this place is ok for camping but no so much if you like swimming in the lake.
