A very interesting piece of history
Amazing campground some firewood great sunsets the hut is in good condition.
Lovely campsite, especially as no one around (well we didn't see anyone at all in our two days in the park). The drop toilet is the first I've been to that didn't smell plus was clean and stocked with toilet paper. There was also a rainwater tank we could use to put out our fire. There are a number of fire pits you can use plus a few tables. Only the flies were a negative.
Great spacious camp area, 4 steel pits with swinging hotplates scattered around and a well kept clean drop dunny. Mopoke Hut has a bit of history going on inside, don't forget to sign the visitors book. In winter 4x4 high with mud or decent AT tyres, lower pressures essential. 24psi in Amarok Plenty of weight towing a trailer no probs. Plenty of deep mud and wet deep sand, can be challenging but fun!
This is a simple but solid bush hut maintained by Parks Victoria. It has several fire pits, a bush toilet and is a single room hut with a screened in verandah. It could form a base for local bush walking and has limited water on site.
