We had an amazing experience at this campground. We stayed for three nights and found it to be very nice and safe, with bear lockers at every campsite and new, clean restrooms. The sites are well spaced for privacy without feeling isolated or unsafe. We even saw bison in the campground, which was incredible, they were calm and not aggressive as long as we didn’t bother them. There are also clean showers available at the lodges near Bridge Bay, which made the stay even more enjoyable.
Pretty much on top of the other campers depending on your site. Mostly flat area for the tent. Designated area for tent wasn’t really marked. Great camp site and campground overall. My reservation came with a shower and that was very nice after day three of hiking. Update : I don’t know why I is pulling up as Bridge Bay. I was in my Canyon Campground review when I originally posted this review.
Beautiful location right by Lake Yellowstone with elk and bison wandering through daily—such a unique experience! The restrooms are clean with flushing toilets, and the dishwashing area is really convenient. Campsites are decent, though some are pretty close together and don’t offer much privacy. Overall, a great spot for the scenery and wildlife.
This campground was great! There was a lot of space and access to restrooms which was a plus. We were able to set up our site, enjoy a fire and look at the pretty stars. The showers were also great and being able to get a bath towel, mat and washcloth for $1.50 was hard to beat. We were very central to a lot of the attractions in Yellowstone. It probably took approximately 50 minutes to an hour to get to the "popular" things.
Very happy we picked Bridge bay. The camp sites are very private with trees all around. (our site was not very level) We woke up to elk in the field across from our camp. So pretty. The bear boxes were fantastic and put our minds at ease. The bathrooms were very clean. (No hot water tho) also be aware that you will get no service in this campground as in much of Yellowstone.
