We stayed here for a week. First the good. The park is very secure with automatic gates securing it 24 hours a day and the full hookups worked well. Everyone we met was friendly including the manager and the owner (spoke on the phone). You have ready access to the interstate making the French Quarter just 15 minutes away. However, the park is right up next to a CSX rail yard so if you like 24 hour a day sounds of trains idling, hooking up, blowing horns, and the ground shaking as some of them pass by, then this is the RV park for you. Not convinced? Then maybe the sounds of street racing coming from Chef Menteur Hwy is your thing. Oh, and I saved the best for last. Two incidents of gunfire nearby. One close by to the West of the park (probably someone shooting at a varmint with a .22), and the other on our last night. This was almost certainly a gunfight as I could hear two distinct sources, each firing repeatedly. If it weren't for issues beyond their control we would gladly stay here again. For an adult couple on a budget, it's a good park, but I would never consider bringing children here.
Well maintained and very clean park with exceptional service. The highlight of the park is definitely the manager, Melissa. She is why we chose to stay. Hardworking and goes above and beyond to make sure her guests are comfortable, safe, and happy campers.
We are traveling from Idaho and found this nice oasis close to New Orleans. Very clean and quite even though trains are on the tracks behind. We had a wonderful stay! Easy access back and forth to French quarters. Thank you to the manager/owner.
We needed to stop for the night and called. Miss Melissa was so helpful. We were able to stop and she gave us directions on how to travel since we had no vehicle. She was spot on with everything. We actually stayed 2 nights. Her hospitality was over the top! The park was clean, safe and most of all friendly! If I could I would give 10⭐️'s
Last 6 years we stayed at this park because of the spacious lots and proximity to town and being on the bus line to go to Jazz Fest. This year, the park is under new and great management with many improvements. The clean showers, new laundry machines, improved landscaping. The new manager on site is absolutely great, customer oriented and most helpful! We made reservations for the next year!
