Golden Country Motel & Caravan Park

Deserves no stars. We booked a day before we were to go. We booked for 3 days. It was more than $70 a night for a caravan site. Within 4 hours we found we were unable to go and we let them know immediately. They say there is no refund. That strikes me as very poor decision making since negative experiences are told to far more people than positive ones. There is nothing like word of mouth to build or break a business. I think one night would have been fair. No doubt, they will resell the site and double their money. We booked through Hipcamp.

Visited from SA in a caravan and had a few dramas along the way. so arrived late rang ahead and staff were very helpful. Had the wrong power cord & had to try & find one in Coles because everything else was closed with no luck. My wife went and spoke to staff at the park long after hours & the gentleman was so helpful he lent us one without hesitation. Very quiet little park, with only a few spaces all with private ensuites which were great. The camp kitchen was excellent with everything you need. Thanks Golden Country for a very pleasant stay. Overall everyone we encountered throughout Marborough Vic were very friendly. Highly recommend a visit.

Very lovely and relaxed feel. Stayed 2 nights in a cabin. Shower was wonderful water pressure was great unlike some caravan parks. The staff are very friendly and the owners were very lovely including the beautiful dog who liked to come over for pats. The bed was absolutely divine to sleep in. They had a book on the table that shows you places that you may be interested in going to and local eating places if you choose to not want to cook. I will definitely be coming back for a vacation hopefully my partner and I can stay longer next time. Everything you need. There is a pool for children and adults to swim in on hot days. We got in a bit late so the lovely owner has the air conditioner on for us to get cool when we got there. The cabin was a great price, not expensive.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Golden Country Motel & Caravan Park. We stayed in a 2-bedroom cabin for 6 nights with 2 adults and 4 kids (ages 6, 5, 4 and 2½), and it was perfect for our family. The park is a smaller, cozy park, which made it feel very safe and welcoming, especially with young children. The kids were entertained every day with the jumping pillow, pool, and small playground, giving us plenty of time to relax. The owners, Terri and Dirk, are incredibly friendly and helpful, and their dog Beauie was a big hit with the kids. and don’t forget Ray he was lovely as all the staff were. The park is clean, well maintained, lots of renovations happening to which is good because things are getting updated. The place has a lovely, relaxed family atmosphere. We felt comfortable and right at home during our stay. Highly recommend to families looking for a peaceful, kid-friendly place to stay. We would definitely stay again!

Just got home from a 2 night stay in Cabin 27. Cabin was perfect! Kitchen was stocked with full sized mugs! All cutlery, utensils and appliances needed and a thoughtful cork screw bottle/can opener is also provided! Bathroom had full sized shampoo, conditioner, body and hand wash! Plenty of towels and a specific make up towel! For those that have stayed in enough cabins... you know these are a real treat! There is an established community garden you're welcome to and even accomadate local birds with bird feeders. Owners Terri, Dirk and doggy Beauie are so friendly. welcoming, accommodating and chilled! Doggies even have a fully fenced area they can play in, when their cute chickens aren't foraging. So, thank you so much to Terri, Dirk and Beauie for an enjoyable couple of days. I'll be back!
