Very nice campground. Super friendly and helpful staff. Easy access from the Interstate and it was quiet. FHUs and everything worked. Site was long and level. Didn't have to unhook the car. Nice shade and lots of farm animals to entertain the kids.
I would give more than 5 stars if I could. The park was a clean has a ton of amenities. You will be hard pressed to find a friendlier staff. They have rescues that they allow you to feed and pet. I can not praise this place enough. Truly an enjoyable experience. Thank you
This is a wonderful RV park for overnighters or those staying longer. It's a short drive off i-75. We stayed one night on our journey to southern Florida from Ontario, CA. The park is also home to an animal rescue. We very much enjoyed visiting all the different rescues, goats, a pot bellied pig, a miniature and regular sized horse, a bunch of donkeys, several Emu and a variety of chickens. They even provide feed for us RVers to hand feed the goats. We had full hookups both 30amp and 50amp at each site. We will stay here again.
We had an unexpected 5 night stay at Travelers Campground. On Day 1 of a 5-week RV trip to the Dakotas, our truck needed a new transmission. Staying at Travelers Campground turned some very sour, expensive lemons into lemonade. Here’s why: we had our Winnebago towed to the nearest campground we could find after we got our truck to Chevrolet in Gainesville. We were stranded without a vehicle for 4 days in Travelers. We ended up having a wonderful time! The staff was so friendly, helpful, and understanding about our unique situation. The campground is situated on a very large piece of property. All the roads within the campground are paved and there are many large, drive-through sites, most are very shaded. It’s hilly, and we walked our two big dogs all over that property several times a day. We loved seeing the animals in the sanctuary. We got to know many of the animals by name. They are very well cared for and living a good life there. There was a large, clean laundry room with many commercial washers and dryers. We plan on going back another time when we will go to the High Springs area. Highly recommend this beautifully maintained campground.
We made a late reservation and stayed for a night. It was easy to park, with good spots. The area we're parked didn't have shade, but we're leaving in the morning. We really enjoyed walking around and saying hi to all the animals. Watch your fingers with macaws - it looks like they might bite you :)
