Camped and had a great time. Plenty of biking, hiking and horseback riding trails. Playground for the young at heart.
Stayed October 2025. Very nice campground. As from advice from another review, do not follow google maps directions to get there from the north or West. Enter the park from 119 by the Dunkin donuts on the east side on Oak Ridge Road to save an adventure. This is a big park and the length of the trails on a paper map are miss leading. Our short loop took us 3 hours to go 3.5 miles. No cell service from Verizon or T-Mobile in the campground. But ABC and Fox on antenna and about 11 fm stations.
I camped here overnight while on a long drive. I wanted to experience the quiet of camping in the forest with my new REI tent. It was not quiet. Bugs, animals, things dropping out of the trees, a bear roaming around. Anything but quiet.
Nice and clean. Restrooms, fishing docks, streams to play in playgrounds
