Lakeside Resort Forster

Had a lovely time at Lakeside Forster Holiday park. We camped at an unpowered campsite for 3 nights. Location was great, only a short 7 minute commute to the main shopping centre. Reasons for not giving a 5 star. They may have been in the middle of upgrades, but the ablution block closest to us was closed for the whole time, so it was a longer walk to the facilities. Also we had no working tap near our site as I think they were installing new ones too, so it was a walk for water too. Other than that, the kids loved the pool, and everything was pretty neat and well laid out. Kitchens oven could have been cleaner though.

Great spot! Sadly we visited when there was construction right beside us. The lake is amazing to sit by at dusk. Showers are very small (where you stand to shower) with a big step behind you as you shower so have to be mindful not to step backward. Lovely staff, would be a peaceful location when construction is done. Great value.

The park is very tidy and well maintained. The pool is beautiful. Unfortunately the premium lakefront site we were given for our van was along a swamp site that was very smelly. A tradie told us as we were packing up that he was supposed to be coming out to clean it up. Big job ahead of him. We hope this improves the 'lakefront' atmosphere.

I stayed on a premium riverside powered site. Direct access to lake with amazing sunsets, but beware, the lake is a little smelly. Close to toilet and laundry amenities. I didn’t receive details for late checkin but the onsite caretakers were able to assist and easily sorted.

Stayed at Lakeside Forster with a large group of family. I cannot be happier with the accommodation and am already looking to book again for next year but for a longer stay. We stayed in the 6 sleeper lakeside cabin and it was absolutely amazing. Waking up to the serene view of the lake was simply breath taking. Bed was comfortable and cabin was remarkably clean on check in. Park facilities were well maintained and staff were extremely friendly and responsive to enquiries.
