Historic Grounds with Modern Appeal—Perfect for Events Like Mountain Readiness Expo! I recently attended the Mountain Readiness Fall Out Expo at Van Hoy RV Park & Campgrounds, and it couldn’t have been a better venue for the event. This place has a rich history as the original home of the famous Fiddler’s Convention, and it’s hosted all kinds of gatherings over the years. The guy in charge has kept it in the family, and you can see the dedication he’s put into making it a great spot for hosting everything from expos to reunions. The grounds are impressive, with plenty of space for everything from RVs to tent camping, and the facilities are kept clean and functional. It’s rustic in the best way, with a balance of open space and well-maintained areas. The pool and common areas add to the experience, and the whole layout gives events plenty of room without losing the welcoming, community vibe. For the expo, Van Hoy’s setup was ideal. The grounds had just the right feel for an event focused on preparedness and outdoor skills. Even with a packed schedule of classes and vendor booths, the space felt comfortable and inviting. Overall, Van Hoy RV Park is a fantastic spot that combines history with modern functionality, making it an outstanding location for any event. Highly recommend visiting—whether it’s for an expo, camping trip, or just to experience a place that’s stayed true to its roots while moving with the times!
