Great spot close to town via board walk

Great free car camp to explore METUNG area Minimal space (approx 4-5 cars could fit) toilets provided, lookout also available up the hill

We arranged a trip to Metung Hot Springs last minute without an accommodation. We thought we can camp and ideally a location near our in Meeting. RV 36 public camp site was spectacular. The camp side is sleep in your car only and you are next to a lighted public bathroom with water. Note to bring a soap. Despite the recent pandemic Australian councils provide anything from water to toilet paper but not soap. This place is incredibly convenient We loved the camp site and the location. There is a great board walk that you walk to pub or the Yacht club. I recommend checking out the food at the Metung pub. If you have a means of making the coffee, I recommend brewing your cup of Joe and drinking it along the board walk with the stunning lake view. We are planning come back and check it the hiking trail that starts from the rv camp site. Wish list: Soap in the bathrooms and a shower.

Good spot to stay for the night. Stay inside the van though the mozzies will eat you alive. The toilets are very clean and good quality. The walk into town is pretty good though it's a jetty walk right around the water. Expect to pay 32 dollars for fish and chips at the pub though monday to wed it's the only thing open.

FREE campsite, so good! If you need a place to stop for 36 hours with flushing toilets.. come here ! No good views but a walking track to a view deck is next to the site. No showers.
