Westcove Municipal Recreation Area

Drove 2 hours to get to the park, nowhere online could I find that dogs were not allowed in the day use area. So if you want to come in for the day and bring your dog THIS IS NOT THE PARK FOR YOU. The old lady manager was super rude came to talk to me, angry about my dog, I said I didn’t know and she pointed at some signs that are in the kids areas and on the way to the lake, so I assumed no dogs on those areas only my dog was on a tether at all times, close to our table. I assumed dogs were allowed in the day use. She explained everything about the warnings and calling bylaw, of course we packed our bags right away and left. No need for that treatment and definitely will not be coming to this park nor do I recommend it. The lake and park are not a big deal really.

Beautiful camp grounds would give 5 stars but the Beach is horrible. One of my favorite things about camping is swimming in the lakes and hanging out on the beach

Fantastic campground. We had site 6 which was great because it was super hot the week we were camping and this site is almost full shade all day so it stayed cooler for sure. Most of the campsites have privacy with trees between campers. Lots of trails to explore around the campground and lots of things to do. They have a splash park and a few different playgrounds. As well as a beach area.

Beautiful campground. Found it by fluke and would definitely come again. Hostess was a very friendly lady and the grounds were well maintain. Site are large and all have power. Lots of places to get fresh water. Washrooms and showers were clean
