Gila County RV Park
About
There is potable and non-potable rinse water available at the RV dump station on US Hwy. 60 in Globe-Bypass. To get there, you need to turn off at Maple Street, which has a very small street sign. After that, you should circle back under the Highway and go one block. Finally, you need to turn left into the park where the RV dump station is located.

I wish I had a better experience here, and maybe this park would be fine for some people, but it did not meet my expectations. There were a few things that were out of the owner's control - the road is extremely close and busy, with loud exhausts and engine brakes going through the night. There is also a very close train. There were other things that could have been better that the management could fix. First off, we came in to check in around mid afternoon and the office had lights on and an 'open' sign. However, the door was dead bolted closed and no staff were anywhere to be found. I had to make a call to the phone number posted on the door, and spoke to a manager who told me she didn't realize anyone was coming today, and she wasn't on site. It took 10-15 minutes for her to drive up. Unfortunately this was not my only experience with the office being 'open' during open hours and yet being locked. During my 5 days of being at the park, I saw management in the office for maybe one whole hour. I needed quarters to do laundry and again had to call the phone number because nobody was in the office, where the guy told me they "don't keep change in the office" but luckily he keeps some with him. There were signs next to the washer saying that quarters are available in the office. Lastly, the dog area was absolutely filthy with dozens if not hundreds of piles of dog poop. Now I understand that this is the responsibility of the dog owners, but it's also kind of the management's responsibility to go over there and tidy up once in a while. This RV park had very close together sites, with barely room for a truck and medium sized camper. Lastly, I felt like there were a lot of strange cars driving around the driveway that didn't seem to stop at any camper, and sometimes they would just idle in the middle of the road. It was very uncomfortable feeling and sometimes it was during the dark. Like I said at the beginning, this park might be okay for some people, the utilities do work and the sites are okay, but it just did not impress me at all.
Super cute yet LONG town. The downtown was all decorated for Christmas. The rv was small but very nice, helpful and beautiful view of down below. Was a bit hard to level out, but still worth it!! Alex was great and would totally stop here again!!
The latest flood took out the whole batting cages, the batting cages are closed and will not be reopening. RV Park is open still.
Location is everything and it helps to have a view AND be within an easy walk of multiple great restaurants, a real downtown movie theater, and more unique shops than you can visit in a week. Family-owned and the camp hosts were top-notch.
Did not need a place to stay as we disperse camp (truck camper)in the backcountry. The $5 showers were much appreciated! Only 1 men’s and 1 women’s but we got lucky and no wait. Thank you so much for offering this service to folks that are just passing through! Gentlemen at the desk was very nice as well.
