The Rest Area attendant and tourist center doesn't allow you to use the public grill. Not a family friendly place. If you want to grill, bring a table top grill and make a huge mess on the picnic table behind building where grill is. State Police was called, trooper ok with using grill but since the tourist ladies in building complained public grill was trying to burn building down, trooper said they could go full KAREN. The guy in the yellow was their security.
By far one of the best rest stops I have ever been to. Very clean facility. Kind and courteous staff and the crew and scenery is worth the stop
This is an easy off rest stop for west bound traffic on I 20. Large truck/RV parking area as well as large car park area w handicap ♿️ spaces. Nice picnic shelters. We didn't use the bathrooms. It's the Alabama welcome.center, but we didn't go in.
Beautiful rest stop ! Staff were very friendly and helpful. We walked the area and sat down to have a picnic. Great place to stop and stretch the legs. Clean restrooms is always a big plus !!
This is a great rest stop area! The bathrooms are very clean. The scenery is wonderful. There's a very nice back porch with rocking chairs with ferns. There's picnic tables and grills. It is very peaceful and I highly recommend that you stop here if passing through!
