Nice, clean and updated facilities at this NYS campground. Friendly staff. Campground lost power for a day and staff kept us informed. Groomed hiking trails, new playground and bathrooms, lighthouse and visitor center in site. Beautiful sunsets over Lake Ontario
One of the coolest campgrounds I've been to. Quiet, awesome location on the lake to relax or home base to Niagara etc. Nice grounds, people and boat launch.
This park is definitely a must visit destination! We loved our site as it was right near the waters edge and a perfect place for listening to the waves and watching sunsets. Took hikes along the trails, took a tour of the lighthouse and looked around the light keepers living space, they had ghost stories and craft time where we painted rocks & wood slices (our daughter loved this! ) We will be back 🥰
This is one of our favorite WNY state parks! The view of Lake Ontario from the Loop B and Loop C sites is second to none. Watching the sunset over the water is such a treat. The park is well maintained with a lovely playground, basketball courts, a dump station, several walking trails and of course the historic Lighthouse. The restrooms and shower houses are in excellent condition and clean. We were extremely excited to see that they have added a universally designed walkway along the bluff in front of the lighthouse. With a slight slope, handrails, and fine gravel, this walk way can be enjoyed by able-bodied and wheelchair & mobility device users alike. The park also has ADA accessible campsites. This is a great location for overnight camping or just for a daytime picnic by Lake Ontario.
Great camping, close to home. Facilities have been updated nicely since I was a kid. The playground is great for kids, and the pathways around the lighthouse have all gotten a nice face-lift. The lighthouse is $1 for adults and a neat experience to walk up to see the views. Campsites are clean and well maintained, staff is helpful and friendly.
