We have our family reunion here every year for 82 years now and let me say this year was horrible. The grass was way over grown the gnats have more than taken over the area. The toilet was never cleaned or restocked with toilet paper like years before. There was nothing nice about our visit this year.. I know it was flooded couple weeks ago but that was across town. The park did not flood that i know of and the grass being so high is unacceptable when we have small children running around. Hopefully next year will be better , or we may talk about moving our reunion to a better place. One with running water atleast..
Absolute wonderful experience at this park. Beautifully maintained, clean and staff was super friendly. Was there for a wedding and it was amazing! Couldn’t have been a more perfect venue. Rv site was nice and big and site was level. Only thing lacking was a fenced area for dogs. If they fix that they will get 6 out of 5 stars! 😊
Thanks to honest folks here was considering a week in January but back to Florida I guess. I had a feeling when i read the dues and donts dues is you pay more donts 5 pages long and it was typed in a rude fashion.
I've been coming here for years, never had a cabin only rv sites. Its close to the water. Owners are nice and the store is stocked with essentials. Really close to the water. Already have another trip booked. Nice trees for shade in the two older areas but not the new section.
Stayed May 15–16, 2025 | 43' Fifth Wheel | Deluxe Pull-Thru, Full Hookups, 50 Amp We only stayed one night, but this park made a lasting impression. The gravel site was level, easy to pull into, and located right next to a huge open field — perfect for letting our dog stretch his legs after a long travel day. The staff greeted us warmly, and the location is gorgeous, right on the water. We didn’t use any park amenities during our overnight, but the park felt peaceful and secure. Being so close to downtown San Angelo, we were able to head into town for dinner and make it back in under 20 minutes. Only downside? Monster mosquitoes — but that’s par for the course near a lake, and bug spray kept them at bay. Wish we had more time here. We’d definitely return for a longer stay!
