All the Hosts were sweet. Nice and quiet, we didn't get the fishes to bite, better luck next time🙂 Beach area was nice and is separate with a $5 a day entry fee it has grills and picnic tables..for RVs bring long water connector mine was a little short and had to re- park.. the 1st set of bathrooms were clean but outdated and the bathroom way in the back was not clean..overall nice time in nature.
Site 39 is across from the lake but with easy access to the water. Nice shade trees on both sides of the site. It has a long driveway but a little high on the driver's side of the camper. We just used our leveling blocks on the door side of the camper for leveling.
My husband and I work extremely hard jobs Monday through Friday. We have two children that we try out hardest to make memories with and give a good childhood too. We decided to come here and go camping and have a decent weekend with them. However it got cut short when the park attendant guy spoiled our weekend. He had an issue with our puppy that could have easily been handled. Instead he was extremely rude and had no answers to our questions when we were trying to figure a solution out. He even called the park ranger after threatening several times. The park ranger was very helpful and told us what to do. We appreciated him for much but the kids were already upset and we were already over it. We cut the trip short and will not be back. I would discourage anyone wanting to stay here. The man at the front is out to ruin your family fun. He needs to learn other peoples time matter and not just his awful attitude.
Sites were small, but perfect for our group of 8 to split between 2 adjoining ones. Each site appears to have its own spicket and firepit (and attached grill!!), plus a picnic table and a laundry line pole which we used to hang our trash bags on. We didnt have any issues with critters getting into things (although the 2 dogs may have detered anything), but there were quite a few black ants that just randomly appeared covering any food stuffs on the ground (i.e. food prep n dog food), but no fire ants as far as I could tell. Would absolutely come back in a heart beat, as it gets hotter im sure the lake will become a popular swim/water sport spot.
