A small, quaint, and secluded eight spot campground in the woods of northern Florida. Our site was level with full hook up. A great little place to stop and rest for the night. The host was very accommodating when we asked if we could check in early and if we could change sites once we got there.
5/5 for this campground!! The owners are SO nice and helpful. The location is quiet and well kept. Walking trails are nicely kept and peaceful! One of my top stays for the area 🌟
This small campground was quiet and off the beaten path. We camped in our travel trailer. We happened to be the only ones there for some reason, maybe off-season? We never met the owners. All check in and check out was done online. They had trails going all over the property which was great for us and provided lots of places for us to walk our dogs. I didn’t realize they had facilities (bathrooms and showers) until the morning we were leaving- they are on the back of the main house and looked updated and clean. The spaces looked level for the most part. Watch out for ticks!
This was my first stay at Firelight Family Campground. I am delighted that I found this gem in White Springs! I like that it is a small campground. There are 5 primitive campsites and we stayed in one of them. The sites are level and spacious and located near to the bathrooms. The small RV area is a nice distance away from the primitive sites, meaning no noise or light pollution from the RVs. The campground felt safe and it was quiet. We tent campers appreciate that! The grounds are well maintained. The bathrooms (2 of them) are private, self contained rooms with a toilet, sink and shower. They have good lighting and are very clean. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this campground to others.
Very quiet (except for some construction and farm noises at times). My husband caught and release a bass in Swift Creek that is a short walk from the campground. We also took an extended hike and made it to the Suwannee. The views were beautiful and interesting. Full hook-up was a plus. There is more than a handful of state and local parks within a 20-or so-minute ride. Nice mix of laid-back things to do in the area and time to sit and read.
