Park: beautiful with 3 beaches including a dog beach, walking trails, disc golf etc. Sites lack privacy and noise travels easily . However it was nice and quiet. Most people sleep by 10pm here. It was serene. If you want to come with a large group or sit by campire and talk late into thennight this is not the park for you. We loved it however. Washrooms: main facilities very clean Staff: friendly No ice at the park store.

Pros: beautiful scenery, we seen the northern lights, the 7sisters stars, the Milky Way Main bathrooms & showers are clean & accessible A few beach’s are handicap accessible & there is a beautiful off-leash beach for your furry friend Love how dog friendly it is here. You can fish on the dock or on the beach The front desk staff & cleaners were all super nice. Town is not very far if you happen to forget anything If you have time to go to town, visit the crystal cave, you won’t regret it ! Cons: want privacy ? Do not book here, the entrances of the lots are very wide & the tree blockage is minimal due to the deforestation they just did Noise - we were having a conversation around the fire (3 women) on the Saturday of the long weekend, the warden tells us to “lower your voices” AT 10PM!!, unsure how to do that unless we didn’t talk at all considering we were whispering already, the next night we went to bed at 10pm to avoid any issues, I could hear another site loudly partying until 3am, I guess it was to cold for the wardens to care that night .. Bathrooms- do not use any other then the main facility or else the stench of pee will follow you home, the pee was SATURATED into the floors Maps - if your hiking , you are better off not following the maps, the yellow trail is not connected at all like the map says & they aren’t very scenic

Stayed for two nights, the place is spacious and have all the amenities needed. The trail across the street is also part of the park and is nice to hike and beautiful. there's a convenience store north of the camp so if u want some ice cream they got you. Also the place have cell signal coverage if needed

This park is absolutely stunning with its exceptional infrastructure. While they do permit dogs, their strict policy requiring all dogs to be on a leash seems excessive. It raises the question of why one would visit such a natural setting only to have their beloved pet constantly restrained. If you are a dog owner seeking a more liberating experience, I would recommend exploring alternative camping options where you and your furry friend can enjoy a more fulfilling adventure.

We recently visited this campground as a somewhat last min decision and were pleasantly surprised. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the park itself is quite clean with nice showers and comfort station. The out house style toilets are never my favorite but as far as they go I found them decent and they seemed to be cleaned as well. The actual lots vary, we loved the huge tree in the middle of ours to set up our tarps/ tent and it wasn’t a small space either. We did however find it to be lacking in privacy as there is next to no foliage on the ground to separate the camps sites. If surrounding campers use floodlights or any bright lighting (which I’m not sure your allowed to use but I don’t know for sure) it will beam right into your site if it is aimed in your direction. The way the fire pits are arranged kind of exasperate this issue as well. Nice big fire pits though, ours had a large metal grate that you could lift over the fire itself which was nice. They do not have any washing stations though so you are essentially doing your dish washing on your own campsite. I didn’t find there was a lot of bugs at all, we also went at a time that was mostly drizzling and cloudy making the water not as inviting as one would like. But the three beaches are very small, with people camping out under sun shades in the small amount of space were the sun is actually hitting the beach so that’s not great. Parking is limited as well. Still a very pretty lake view with lovely little islands in the distance. Overall the scenery is lovely, quiet and the beautiful little squirrels, chipmunks and bird varieties make the place extra special. We had a very good time and enjoyed walking the trails. Highly recommend
