Cute little spot that’s quiet and sweet. Fun camp store. Bring on the pond was pleasant. Staff was pleasant and felt very safe. This is not close to anything restaurants and or business if that bothers you. Remote and sweet is the feeling. Great stopover for our family traveling!
Took my daughter here and paid to fish. Pond 3 is over run with grass and saw a crane standing in the middle of the pond. So looks like its not even deep enough for fish. Then moved around to the other ponds and not a single bite. I dont realy like posting negative reviews but I'll at least give 3 stars bc we ended the evening listening to Straight Whiskey so that was nice.
We had a great experience, everyone was very nice and friendly. Seemed like lots to do, if you have kids (we do but they were not with us). They had great live music when we were there (Aug. 16) in what they call their club house, a very cool over the water rustic spot. Lost a clevis pin for my blue ox, they had an extra and gave it to me, still nice to know there are genuine people still out there. I will go back!
We went for a local fun family afternoon at the aqua park there. It was around $15 a person. This also allowed us access to the pool. The water was clean and didn't smell fishy or pond like. They provide life jackets in all sizes. If you get there earlier enough you can get a spot with some sun chairs and a table. There are also shady spots to keep cool if you need a break from the sun You can bring a cooler and a grill to BBQ if you want. They also have a general store if you need snacks or a drink. The campground is kept clean, staff is friendly and professional. Definitely going back for the day and thinking about camping as well. They also offer a good fishing spot. A great place for a day of family fun or a little get away!!
This was an overnight stop along our route to a farther location. It's a few miles off the interstate in the country. There are mostly back in sites, but also some cabins, all on the water. They have several ponds with most designated for fishing. At the entrance was the largest collection of water slides, floats, etc, a snack shop. It looks like they cater to the summer visitors. They had a lot of printed regulations, which is fine, but I was amused by one thing. They say if you leave any pet waste behind, you will be charged extra. Well, there were ducks everywhere, and there was duck poop on every concrete pad that we walked by. Of course, we picked up our pet waste, but it wasn't great to arrive to duck poop on our site. And these ducks were not shy. Sites are a little narrow too and not really long. When it's full, everyone would be pretty close together. Still, we enjoyed our overnight.
