I have enjoyed McIntyre park for the last four years.at that time I was looking for a camping trailer and found one here and moved in the staff is very accommodating and friendly and the store and propane availability is perfect. I love the people who have called this place their home away from home and we all need love the family environment. Great place for fishing boating and overall just playing in the river. Prices are fair and it's just out of the way enough to make it a perfect getaway spot. 41/2stars.
We've been coming here for a long time. Prior to our decision to park our home away from home here, we've inspected other locations on the river, even on the Arizona side all the way up to Parker. It's hard to compare all the features with other Parks. For us was important to have the family flair, the welcoming service and the green park surrounding the entire property. It's away from everything else, quiet and relaxing, - families grow in generations here, kids love their freedom to go fishing, swiming and exploring. Besides a small convenient store, a boat ramp, a fuel station, a propane refill option, - this place even has a fenced in dog run. Property is well maintained (bathrooms/showers as well) and managed by a new ownership/Management group since May/June 2025. We've been accommodated with friendly service and a motivated experienced Manager (Pat). We like to say thank you and leave a great review here. (I was told they'll have soon fresh brewed coffee for the early rising customers in the morning) 😉
We took our pop up and totally enjoyed our time here! From Rancho Cucamonga it's 185 miles and the closest spot on "The River" from home, we left 57 degrees and enjoyed 84 degrees. The management, Tom and his son Anthony made it apparent that service and a smile go a long way. Thanks for the portable campfire with the BEST wood I've ever burned! The market was well stocked, showers and bathrooms were maintained daily, and the residents were a kick! Great laid back, ready to help. The surroundings are perfect for lagoon and canal fishing, has a mellow swim area as well as easy put in for some river running. Morning walks through the irrigated alfalfa fields or along the Colorado banks, incredible stars without ambient light. Check out the Intaglios, ancient figures in the sand, just 17 miles above Blythe, well worth the side trip.
Needed a place for a one night stay. I will say that the man that took our reservation and helped us find a site was very accommodating. The campground, however, is deplorable. The electric is screwed up, our Watchdog gave us an error on two different sites. The camper next to us had a sewer hose out and there is no sewer hookup. Most of the people there are full time and their RV's are ancient. The view of the river is nice, but it's a one and done here for us.
We needed an overnight stop and Destiny was a great option. They only had one spot left which was in the grassy field next to the bathrooms/showers so our only neighbors were trees which provided a bit of shade. There was even a 50Amp plug on the side of the building we could use. Tom, the manager, was very friendly and accommodating. The young guy that greeted me when we got to the office was also very friendly. Before we took off in the morning we walked over to the boat launch and park area lining the Colorado River. Beautiful setting in the middle of the desert.
