We stayed here when it was not busy first week of September. Pool area was beautiful and pools were heated. I can see pool area being too small when busy but for us was perfect. Adult only hot tub was great too. Limited hours not opening until 10 am and closing at 6 pm so that was hard to get to some days. The woods area where most cabins are and the tent sites are really nice-trailer area seems very open not private. We had two cabins-the largest one and a one bedroom/one bunk room one. Both cabins were in need of good cleaning and some paint. Any dishes must be washed before you use them but it was well supplied. Largest cabin even has full sized oven. The pictures for the large cabin showed a big dining table and chairs on the deck- it is gone and replaced with a picnic table so that was disappointing. Need some chairs at this cabin outside. The couches in the largest cabin are in need of replacement. That cabin was huge though and overall excellent just too bad it also was not in a more woodsy area- it was less private than the other one we had. The smaller cabin we had was lovely-huge deck area and really nice private campfire spot. Smaller cabin was missing window coverings on the large main doors into it-we had to improvise with garbage bags to cover them for you are very exposed otherwise. The older log table and chairs on the deck were falling apart- we had two newer yellow chairs that were good. We went for a couple hikes on the campground trail at the back of the campground- it was beautiful and well marked and we never saw anyone else there so dogs loved it. The campground is fantastic for dogs- really clean dog park with water and waste bags. Hitching posts to tie your dog up to by the pool and at the office. We tied ours up so we could swim- no idea if you could actually do this when it was busy but we have very well behaved dogs happy to be there and watch through the clear glass panels at us swimming. There was even a bowl of water for them! The area is beautiful and we did a few hikes around and found spots the dogs could swim. Overall it was a great place and we would go again. The jumping pillow is a great feature for "kids" that are actually adults!
Rundown campground..rude workers / owner that do not help you when a problem(s) happen. Pool was closed on a beautiful day because of a inspector that came and shut it down, bathrooms are gross, and need to be cleaned and renovated ( most bathroom stalls locks are broken, looks like it wasnt cleaned in weeks) , lots of broken glass around the sites , overgrown grounds, sites are not cleaned upon arrival . choose a better spot for ur familys camping experience as this one needs work!
We had an amazing time at this campground! It’s truly one of the best for families. Very kids-friendly with a huge jumping pillow, a great playground, and fun kids’ programs. The pool was super clean, and the whole site was quiet and relaxing. Definitely a place we’d love to return to!
Spent the weekend at the campground. The good: All in all they do a good job of providing activities for the kids. Grounds are clean and well maintained kabins were well maintained and clean. Lots of wasps whenever we cooked and we had to eat inside but not much that can be done about that we are in their space and I didn’t find it to be bothersome other than when eating. We chose to eat inside because I’m allergic but that kind of stuff is to be expected when camping. The bad: their staff is just odd the ‘supervisor’ or so he called himself that. Let’s call him tips because he has frosted tips to fill out his balding head had a conversation with a guest at the campground and then went to get the ‘owner’ of the campground the only issue is that he went and got someone who is in fact not the owner but someone to impersonate the actual owner. As you can imagine this is beyond unacceptable. This same ‘supervisor’ just hung out in the pool with friends and I’m assuming his wife for hours on end, which I guess is ok but just seems odd to have staff taking over areas that paying guests are using. Tips and his entourage were rude, ignorant and caught talking poorly about coworkers and guests while the people they were talking about were right there including myself. I wouldn’t recommend staying here until they get their staffing sorted out. Place has potential but staff make it a place I will not be returning to or recommending. I’d suggest staff having their own areas to use as opposed to taking over guest areas and talking smack about guests and staff in public areas. 0/10 do not recommend
The pleasant service when our party arrived for check in was a wonderful welcome. A very clean and well organized lobby area with snacks and toys for kids. Our 2 evening stay was a May Sunday and Monday. Didn't use the pool area facilities but the main lodge bathrooms seemed typical for a location of this size, being well kept. The 6 person "Kabin" was clean with modern fixtures, BBQ and full fridge. Seems like a huge turnaround from the previous ownership and it shows! Keep up the good work! 😊
