I've stayed at both the old and new RV parks and they are both great. The old park sites are closer together, but staggered so they're not too close. Lots of woods around each park. The new park is in the open but has concrete pads and very large spaces. For activities in SE part of Grand Loop, it's great. I wish there was one like it on NW side!
We stayed at the Fishing Bridge RV park (Loop A) in early October through to their last day of operation and were very impressed! There is a main building with extensive laundry facilities, a very modern and sparkling clean bathroom/shower room, a small gift shop and information about the park. Everyone on the staff was super friendly and so helpful. The campground itself was well maintained, our site was level, and all the hookups worked well. The sites are very tight but when in Yellowstone there's no need to hang out in the campground anyway - there's way too much to see and do in the park! Fishing Bridge is a convenient location for a lot of the key sites in Yellowstone and the larger general store and gas station were close by and had all we needed. Loved the extensive recycling bins everywhere (including for the small green propane canisters - nearly impossible to find recycling for those things anywhere else). We would definitely stay here again!
Enjoyed our recent stay at the Fishing Bridge RV Park in Yellowstone NP. The location is very central, allowing easy access to all areas of the park. The staff was courteous and very helpful. The campsites were well maintained. My only issue is the cost. As with all lodging options within the park, the rates per night are very high and cost prohibitive for many if not most visitors. The National Parks belong to all and not just the well heeled.
We wanted a campground for our RV within Yellowstone so that we could make the most of our one day visit to the park. This RV Park accomplished that! It was busy and we felt lucky to even get a spot. The spaces are very close together. The service and staff were wonderful! Very efficient place, from the check in, showers, laundry and check out process. Well defined for getting everyone through. I appreciate that kind of organization.
You can't beat Fishing Bridge for location inside Yellowstone National Park; centrally located to so much! You're going to drive no matter where you're going, but we found our gas mileage was phenomenal with the 45mph speeds! Fishing Bridge feels like a bustling little village with the General Store, gas station, and campground. The visitors center across the road gives some great education on the area and is situated on a beautiful beach where we saw bison footprints and waterfowl. As for Fishing Bridge facilities, it's the only place inside of Yellowstone that takes larger RVs. The older campsites are fitted tightly but efficiently, which led to some fun interactions with our neighbors. Of course there is still enough space to feel like you can stay to yourself. We found our site very level on the gravel pad. There was some shade. In the newer section, the E loop, the campsites are big and there are level cement pads where even the picnic table is on cement. But there is little to no shade. The laundry facilities are top notch and more affordable than in Cody where we did our first load. They have recycling bins all over the place for plastics, metal, glass and cardboard. Overall, a great place to stay!
