Steep Rock Beach Park

Great beach, good staff, and lots to do with the kids. However I am disappointed in how steep rock has gone the way of most other campsite and are just cramming everyone in that they can in every little space possible. I haven't been here in about 7 years but before that, we used to rent the cabin and enjoy the spacious grounds, you could walk the creek to the beach. This time we rented the cabin, and every little section in the campground was seasonal sites or daily rentals. They even rented half the driveway of the cabin to a camper, so I had to 10 point maneuver to get my car out when wanting to go explore the town. I would recommend a visit to steep rock and steep rock campground to everyone as it is a beautiful place. However, I would not recommend staying at the cabin anymore, its more than doubled in price which I get as everything has, but you just get so much less.

Beautiful beach! Warm water! But just wish everything was properly marked to find the steepest rock. In order to know where to go to see things. As we drove in using Google there were no signs for steep rock beach or that if you walked down the left side of the beach around the corner you could see huge steep rocks. If we didn't see an Instagram reel on this place we would've never known to go here and we didn't get to see the best parts because we were so lost and circling around the area.

We rented a cabin “Cabin Rental” and had a great time. I decided to help others who would want a bit more details what’s all included in the cabin by showing you some pictures. They say small appliances but they are normal size fridge and stove/oven. Beds also have sheets on them and pillows. They also provide with great thick blankets. The door behind the blankets and pillows even though has no knob you can open it, in case like us that needed to reset the breaker. Staff are really friendly and helpful.

Had an amazing 2 weeks at this campground. It's maintained immaculately, people (staff and residents alike) are super friendly. Always a friendly waive as they go by or stopping in for a short visit to share some local history or information. Loved loved loved it here. There's a little store that can help you out with some basics including a cold beer in case you forget. Laundry and showers are also available. The restaurant wasn't opened yet so didn't get to try it sadly.

We had an excellent time! The water was clear and the temperature was not to bad. Our campsite, washrooms and the grounds were clean and well maintained. The guests and park staff were all very nice! Great biking around the campground and to the town of Steep Rock it was about a 4km ride. The playgrounds were challenging for our 5 year old she had a blast, I would recommend adult supervision. Quite a few fish flies but it is the season. Overall It is great, I would recommend this campground to friends and family!
