Had a great burger, tater-tots & a cold beer 🍺 after being out on the trail all day!
First time coming here and all in all, it was a great experience. A lesson learned from rookie tent campers, is to bring a variety of stakes and mallets. We unfortunately could not use the normal stakes and rubber mallet due to the ground being heavily compacted and rocky; however, the owner came in for the win and helped us out. We are extremely grateful for the staff's support. The food is amazing and the scenic views are even better.
What a fun weekend! My only complaint would be the grumpy lady with dreadlocks. Other than her, the rest of the crew were phenomenal!
Very rustic place that's neat to find so far off the main road. Nice to have food and lodging so far out here. Staff is very friendly and they treated us well. "Resort" and "Retreat" are overstatements and "unpretentious" (from the Google description) is an understatement. This place is not for everyone since it is pretty rustic and basic. Staff are open-carrying guns so, if that's your thing, it will be a plus. There's a life-size Trump cutout and thin blue line flags on the wall. Our floor and room were basic and fine. The downstairs hallway smelled like vomit; not sure why.
