Young Showground Camping

We stayed at Young Showgrounds for 2 nights. Great level sights, power & water $20 per night. The facilities were very well kept and wonderfully cleaned. Fabulous location and a lovely lady caretaker with a fun sense of humour. We were very surprised at the size of the town and the great Main Street. Will definitely stay there again next time we travel through.

Rang to see if they had any vacancies, this very rude lady answered the phone and very abruptly said we close at 5pm and to ring when arrive. We arrived at 430pm and rang but no answer, so we drive to the camping ground only to be told we shouldve waited at the gates for her to arrive. Yet again the lady was very rude towards us and was not happy that we didn't wait at all. The showers were not cleaned and disgusting. Yes cheap place to stay but be warned of the rude lady.

Great place to stop for a couple of nights! Shower and toilets are clean and well set up and caretaker was absolutely lovely! Power and water as well! Worth every $ to stay,will come again!

We arrived between 6:30–7:00pm and called the provided number, only to be met with a very unpleasant caretaker who went on about previous guests not paying. Despite transferring the money that evening, she hadn’t received it yet and rudely woke my partner at 7:00am demanding payment. I explained it had already been paid and that transfers can take up to 24 hours to appear, but the situation was handled very poorly and unprofessionally.

This is one of the most amazing Showgrounds iv camped in so far. Not because of the location and cleanliness of the facilities, but the caretaker was the kindest soul. Pat fletcher just wouldn’t take a ‘no’ when i tried swagging in the open. She put me in a shed and in a minus 6 degree winter night, i am grateful she forced me into the shelter. She even came by next morning to check on my wellbeing. Very special lady Pat is. Facilities were super clean. Lots of space. Price was very affordable
