We booked and stayed at campsite 20 in Jan. . The owners urge you to call 30 min prior to arrival so that they may direct you away from Google maps misinformation which was very helpful. They meet you as you enter the campground area and were very helpful if you need help backing into a site . Generally I have no problems but appreciated a different perspective from a pro . We talked quite awhile and enjoyed getting to know the area from a local . The campground was not busy at all since most northerners had already passed thru heading south for winter .
I made a reservation online at the last minute due to a breakdown earlier that day. I just needed a safe place to crash for the night. It was after hours so I called and the owner was responsive and welcoming. I was greeted at the office and the owner helped me park and settle in. Nice bathroom, took the dogs on a walk to the lake in the morning before hitting the road. I felt safe and so slept like a baby. Thanks so much.
If you are looking for a quiet, roomy campground with friendly owners, then Leesville Lake Campground is for you. My family and I have visited this campground for many years and have never had an unpleasant experience. The owners, Jeff and Tracy, are so accommodating and friendly! They greet you when you arrive and make sure you get to your site without issue...every single visit. We enjoy our quiet visits to Leesville and so do our pups!
Sites are roomy and not right on top of your neighbor. It's a very quiet, and peaceful campground and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. We had a great time!
This was our first camping trip with the new camper. As soon as we arrived Jeff helped us to our site and guided us into a tricky spot for a newbie. He gave us great tips about setting up and shared other camping knowledge. The campground was clean, quiet and appeared to be well run. You can tell the owners care about their place and they are attentive to guest needs. This is a close little get away for us and we plan on going back again.
