The Matthews Campground

We stayed there for apx 6 months, my husband was working in the area. Nice place, quite in a wooded area. For those who can't get them to answer...Just keep trying they will, that's what I did and very glad of it. Nice place!

They must be closed down. Haven't answered the phone in days. Even tried to text the number in the website (as instructed) and they never responded.

So peaceful! Deer, wild turkeys, squirrels and so many birds! Beautiful and serene! Love it here!

I tried contacting them via text (as their website recommends), after two days of no response, I tried calling. I immediately got a text response stating to contact us via text (which I did again). Then I even tried messaging them through the website and STILL got no response Really???. It's amazing how some people "operate" a business. Hey, here's a suggestion Matthews, If you don't have any campsites or are closed just state that on the website or at least send a text back to the inquiring party stating that you don't' have any camp sites available. FAIL

Owners are very nice! RV lots are shaded, can not be seen from the road which makes it some what private. Quiet and out in the country yet close to everything. We love it here, hope to return when ever we are in the Raleigh area.
