For 20 years, my family and I have made Powers Park in Powers, Oregon, our go-to spot for the Fourth of July weekend, and it never disappoints! This small, out-of-the-way town puts on one of the best fireworks shows on the Oregon coast, absolutely spectacular for a place this size. The community vibe is warm and welcoming, making it a perfect tradition for us. Powers Park is a hidden gem worth visiting for an unforgettable Independence Day celebration or any other time if you just wanna get away. A lot of the year the park is not very full and it is a good quiet place to just relax.
Love LOVE LoVe This Place!!! It's like Northern exposures Sicily meets Twin peaks! An absolutely stunning place to Visit or better yet live.....from the carefree calming effect of the beautiful mountains that encircle the town to it's friendly and welcoming people that live in Powers you are sure to enjoy and cherish your time there..
Forgot to take photos of the site I Stayed at but I stayed at the cabin up the hill (hill cabin #1). It was nice while it lasted and saw a bunch of deer while I was there. However the park is super crowded and I wouldn't suggest getting a site unless it's the cabin sites or rv hookup site as the normal tent sites are too close for comfort to each other, you have absolutely no privacy as a tent site. I would only suggest staying in the cabins and or if you have an rv this is perfect for you! Plenty of places for a hookup and plenty of places to stay. Plenty of tent sites too but none of them get any privacy, if that's not an issue to you this is a great spot to stay. I would suggest bringing hand sanitizer because the cabins Porta potty have none and theres a few places to wash your hands, closest to cabins is the main restrooms near the center where they also offer showers. They also offer places to cook like a stovetop throughout the park or places to hookup to cook which is super handy. Overall beautiful park just a few things I wouldn't like if I were a tent site and to warn others of the hand sanitizer issue. Also near the pond it reeks like farm animals & manure.. be prepared for that if you choose to stay at the pond cabin, it smells REAL BAD! Lots to do at this park and Powers is a super small old town so it was beautiful to visit.
Great little park with clean facilities. The drive there holds amazing views of the river. Deer, elk, coyote, and bear are often seen around the park area. Camp hosts are super friendly!
We camped while there and it was awesome. It is a well taken care of park. Stuff to do for kids and adults. Our campsite had full hook ups that worked flawlessly and the staff was friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this park to anyone.
