We loved this campground. We had a beautiful spot beside the creek. It was peaceful and quiet. The staff were quite friendly. We stayed two nights instead of one, and decided we were lucky the state park was full. The showers are very good also.
What a great little campground for an overnight stop! Very quiet and peaceful here with a pretty little creek running along the edge of the property. Walked couple of loops around the area after a long drive saw how neat and clean the place is. We didn't use the bathhouse or laundry. I would stay here again.
Excellent family owned rv park with a creek running next to it. Owners were very accommodating during our stay. Definitely will stay here again when in the area.
We had a wonderful and quick experience at R Haven last weekend. We were in spot #9 in our small RV right next to the creek which was a clean and beautiful creek that was safe for the kids to play in. Robert was very helpful and made the stay even better. We never saw him but he was available whenever we needed to ask a question. The area is nestled in a little valley surrounded by mountain and after the fog rose on our morning there the views were beautiful. It is 3 miles from Cloudland Canyon, which is where we went to hike and explore during our stay. It was very quiet at the RV park, and we had privacy. We were never close enough to another human to even say hello or wave. The bathhouse was very clean. My only negative feedback would be that, while the bathrooms were very clean, there was very little privacy. The toilet stalls are covered by a shower curtain and I felt like people walking in the door would brush past my knees as they walked through. However, only one person came in during my shower so my worries ended up being for nothing since I had the whole bathhouse to myself the majority of the time. Most people on camping trips like this are prepared to deal with a small lack of privacy anyway. Would definitely suggest this place to anyone camping or in an RV in the area!
Loved this Overnight RV park! It was off the beaten path a little so it wasn't too busy like many of the state parks. Which we enjoyed. The amenities were excellent, clean and in close proximity to everyone's sites. They offer washer/dryer units for a $1 fee that was well worth it for us as we had gone caving with G3adventures at cloudland canyon state park. The grounds were perfectly maintained...( and with out us even saying anything about the grass being a tad high), I suppose the owners saw us playing horseshoes and came out the very next day and had trimmed the areas inside the throwing boxes. It was a very personal touch for us that we sincerely appreciated! We were on the creek side and loved our site, and we were also happy to see that the "group shelter" area had 2 gas grills, tables, and recreation items for us to use at our leisure. As we had a dog, we found the layout of the rv park perfect to walk her [on a leash] around the premises. The owner, Carolyn, was super sweet and helpful during our phone conversations and made the R Haven Overnight Family Park an easy choice for use when deciding where to go for our Holiday weekend. We will definitely be back!!!
