It was absolutely beautiful. Nice sized lots and a quick path to the Snaring River. Close to beautiful bike trails. Would 100% recommend.
Hard to find a spot since the Jasper fires have made less campsites available in the area. Since 2020 the cost has tripled and that was with the discount this year at some campgrounds in 2025. Next year the price will go up and there is only pit toilets a tap near the sign in kiosk and free fire wood.
Had a great time camping at this spot. The peaceful sound of birds in the morning felt like a natural alarm clock, and the gentle river noise throughout the day added to the relaxing vibe. It’s a perfect place to unwind and enjoy nature. The only downside was the occasional train passing by — you can hear it, but it’s not too bad and didn’t ruin the experience. Just a heads-up: there’s no cell service and no power on-site, so be sure to bring a power station. Overall, it’s a beautiful and quiet campground, great for disconnecting and recharging.
We drove in without a booking and luckily there was a free spot (the next day it was full), so after choosing our spot we parked up and walked back down to the entrance and self registered, payed $16.75 for the 25' RV site in cash. Toilets were nearby and there is a short walk to the river with nice views of the mountains. Unserviced sites and no showers. Fairly private spots with picnic tables. Stayed here during smoke from wildfires.
If you can find a spot, this campground offers amazing proximity to a beautiful Riverside. Don't be afraid of the Walk-In sites, they're more secluded than the others. Cleanest outhouses in Alberta. We snagged site D6 and I firmly believe it's the best one in the park!
