Free RV overnight stay overlooking the ocean. Plenty of spaces. Easy booking system online. Great spot not far from centre of town.
No charge. Maximum 2 night stay. A very windy spot when it starts blowing. 7 min walk to the main road to catch a bus to Burnie city centre. $1.20 pp. We caught Emu Bay taxi back here for $13.50.
Great place for an overnight (or 2) stay right on sea front. Gravel/ dried grass, reasonably flat ( might need chocks for slight levelling adjustment).Has drinking water on site, and a dump point down the back of area.
You’ll be woken at 3am from loading trucks but can’t complain since it’s free & has a dump point & drinking tap. Need to get permit to stay here from council website (max 2N - only issued twice per calendar year). Need to be self contained (ie sink/toilet to contain liquids) though there were certainly non-self contained campers here, so not sure why council bother with strict rules/permits etc. Area large enough for big caravans. 1/3 full in winter, so I imagine packed in summer. Watching winter sunrise over the ocean was nice 😊
Pulled up this afternoon 20th Feb. Lovely free camping spot. Right along the water. Big spaces all along the foreshore. Lots of room for large rigs. Very windy!
